FOSM's BIG project for the 2010-11 year was the Survey Trail re-route from just south of Hwy 536 to 900 feet past the north side of the road. The re-route was done due to a new guardrail installed by the Dept. of Transportation which prevented access to Survey Trail. FOSM wrote a proposal and submitted it to the District Ranger for consideration of re-routing the trail to make for safer passage of hikers, skiers, and livestock.

The re-routed Survey Trail will go right here.                                                        10 trees to be removed.

New trail being marked.                                                       Short legs can't get over this log!

Clearing a section of new trail.                                             This dirt pile was caused by a blown down tree.

A trail is appearing.                                                           Rav showing the guys how to cut the log!

                             DONE. Nice, clean trail!
